The vision is for Erindi Game Reserve to be managed as a national heritage asset, promoting the development of environmentally sustainable tourism. The Erindi Trust aims to preserve and maintain ecological processes, biodiversity and cultural qualities for the long-term benefit of the tourism industry and Namibian people.

In accordance with the Commercial Land Reform Act, the owners of Erindi have given notice to the Government Republic of Namibia (“GRN”) of their intention to sell. Erindi was offered to the GRN in terms of their statutory first right of refusal. In reply, the GRN has notified the Owners of their intention to purchase Erindi. The GRN made a counter offer, which was not accepted by the Owners.

The price negotiations are currently underway in terms of a procedure prescribed by law. The ultimate price determining body, in terms of this procedure, is the Supreme Court of Namibia. Should the GRN not be able to purchase Erindi, a waiver will be issued to sell Erindi to a private investor, which will in all probability be a foreigner.

This structure has been devised and presented to the Owners who have endorsed the implementation.

Building Erindi for the past 32 years has been my life’s work and an amazing adventure. From https://isotretinoinofficial.com humble beginnings and hard work, Erindi was initially run as a cattle ranch. Acting on a deep desire to protect the precious ecosystem and expand into sustainable eco-tourism, Erindi was transformed into the ecological treasure as it stands today.

Being the main shareholder and turning 70 years of age this year, I pride myself in always having had a hands-on approach. Sadly, I must adhere to the realisation of mortality and accept that the next commercial phase for Erindi has dawned. To continue the dream of establishing a world renowned nature reserve, structures and procedures will be required to take operations to the next level and realise Erindi’s full potential.

Erindi has allowed itself to develop into a National Heritage Asset. It is thus fitting that it should belong to Namibia. I have devised a structure to perpetually secure the continued work I have started. Let Erindi be a shining beacon and example of how Government and its people take a stand for the conservation of Namibia’s rich heritage. I therefor view the establishment of the Erindi Trust as a retirement decision, handing over the land I so dearly love to Namibia, for Namibians.
