• All Erindi guests are guaranteed a seat on our primary activity – Guided Game Drives in Open 4×4’s.
  • All other activities are considered specialist activities and are bookable 24 hours in advance i.e. when the guest is already at the lodge.
  • Available specialist activities will be clearly displayed for guests, and may only be booked at Old Traders Lodge reception at Erindi Private Game Reserve.
  • Upon arrival at Old Traders Lodge, guests are welcome to enquire at reception about available activities during their stay and every effort will be made to meet their requests.
  • Specialist activity bookings may not be made through the Erindi bookings office in advance at all.
  • Specialist activities cannot be booked or paid for beforehand as these are subject to availability of guides and vehicles on the day.
  • It is essential that all our guests have their seat on game drive booked before specialist activities can be booked.
  • Weather and nature affects our activities, walks cannot go out if the wind is blowing or it is too hot etc.
  • Nature and animal species also have an impact on our specialist activity bookings. If Pangolins do not have transmitters, the Pangolin Tracking activity will not be available etc.
  • Specialist guides are required to conduct specialist activities. They have highly specialized training, experience and qualifications which are needed to keep guests safe and ensure they enjoy their experience.
  • The telemetry tracking drive includes certain species such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, and various small special animals that have tracking devices at the time. The Telemetry Tracking drive does not feature leopards or pangolins as these are separate specialist activities.
  • All these factors have an influence on the availability of specialist activities. We are therefore not able to confirm and take payments for requests more than 24 hours in advance.
