Camp Elephant offers 15 self-catering chalets nestled in rustic bush surroundings. This is the destination to visit when you need to escape busy city life. Leave the hassle of packing equipment at home, we offer all the everyday essentials in our neatly kept units.
Our self-catering chalets are situated in a semi-circle overlooking a waterhole that’s floodlit at night. Each chalet has two bedrooms, each containing two single beds, and a bathroom with a spacious shower. The beds are dressed in crisp, clean linen. The open-plan living area has a dining table and chairs, a sleeper couch and a flatscreen TV. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, pots, pans, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery.
The allure of two outdoor braai areas, one covered and one uncovered, plus a picnic bench means ample space for outdoor entertaining.
The braai areas are cleaned out daily in preparation for the next day’s fire building. If the weather is not suitable for outdoor dining, then our kitchen is well equipped with everything you would ordinarily have in your kitchen at home.
The chalets have their own individually accessible paths that lead to the viewpoints at the waterhole. Frequent visitors in the early mornings and late evenings include oryx, elephants, hippos and crocs to mention a few.
Fresh food items can be purchased from Camp Elephant’s Farmstall, which is well stocked for people who might need extra edibles.
