Goldie (in picture) and his brother Shadow a few weeks ago had been the two pinned with killing Yoda Female’s two cubs. We wrote about this in an article on our blog.
However, a few days ago Yoda was found with her two cubs – a huge surprise. It seems she hides them either in very thick vegetation next to “koppies” or on mountains and then goes to spend time with the two brothers. Maybe in the long run she will bring the cubs out when they are over a year old and hopefully trick the coalition males into thinking that the cubs are theirs??
Yoda is showing us a different side to what we think about Lion behaviour, she is a very smart cat!
