Despite an abundance of watering points all over the property at present, large quantities and varieties of game are still coming to the dams and waterways on which the lodge is built to drink and to lick the salt blocks. Guests sitting in the dining-room and having drinks on the viewing deck have been able to watch at close quarters fairly large groups of Giraffe, Zebra, Oryx, Kudu, Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Springbok, Impala, Hyenas, Warthog and even lion. Of course, that is in addition to the resident hippo pod and school of crocodiles with a number of birds like Herons, Spoonbills as well as the smaller species forming a mobile backdrop to the daily scene.
